- <p>Could see numerous crowns from a few days ago. Expected to find a more reactive snowpack, but did not.</p>
Dug a hasty pit at the top of the Wolverine Chutes to investigate stability. Found evidence of the old near surface facets, but not as well developed as in other areas. Total snow depth was 235 cm. We got no failures on 2 ECTs, but did get a compression test to go at CT 23, Q2 at 65 cm down. Overall, the stability here looked pretty good. The density of the layer was certainly remarkable.

- <p>Near Surface Facet Layer 65 cm below the surface was the most significant concern that we found. We dug in multiple locations and could find these facets, but their development was limited and the layer seemed well bonded, resulting in solid, low energy test results.</p>
Dense new snow to wind buffed snow surface. Good skiing.
