Productive wind transport was ongoing above ~11,800' on Emmons, and light drifting below that. Visibility was too poor, and conditions were too harsh for us to gather much feedback or see what was going on up high. Wind-sheltered terrain was relatively quiet: we triggered a few sluffs in steep terrain, and one propagated wider as a small soft slab on a slope where the storm interface was weak facets.
We observed cracks shooting 10' to 30' in the recent snow as we climbed near and above treeline into more wind drifted terrain. Cracks were failing at the storm interface about a foot deep and in today's drifting snow a few inches deep.Weather

Skier triggered a few slabs from the RL skin track as we climbed above 11,000'. These were all small, on east-facing terrain. We also came across a thicker hard slab that likely ran naturally today into the bowl.
