Sunny slopes below 11,000 feet did not pose much of a wet loose threat, due to the lack of recent storm snow and previous warm weather.  Northerly slope possessed the facets on crust weak layer, but no real slab exists below 11,000 feet.  Wet loose avalanche activity could be worth managing in the future on shady aspects once warmer temperatures return.  No significant avalanche problems were noted below treeline.

A few soft collapses and cracks running a ski length or two on northeast aspects near 11,000 feet.

Increasing clouds in late morning. Often high, thin clouds with a few thicker clouds building in the afternoon.

Snowpack

Below about 10,500 feet, the recent storm snow is less than 6 inches deep on shady aspects and even less on sunnier features.  Close to 11,000 feet on northeast and north slopes, the recent snow depth is nearly 9 inches.  I often found the storm snow resting on faceted grains above the meltdown crust.  This interface remains sensitive, but it is largely unthreatening, given the thin, soft slabs.  A few soft collapses and shooting cracks.  You might be able to trigger a tiny slab avalanche here, but its size doesn't pose a threat.  East slopes in this area have been cooked over the past few days, and no slab remains. Any loose wet problem would be small.

Cloud cover and cool-ish temps helped to minimize wet loose avalanche activity. A handful of very small loose avalanches on southeast and south aspects were viewed from town. I coded the largest ones here, but they are still D1 in size.
