4” to 6” of loose snow over stout crust. No apparent avalanche concerns, just early season shark hazards.

Patchy surface hoar growth and the new snow is faceting over the old crusts documented before Thursday’s storm. This will likely continue to metamorphose into a poor foundation given the dry outlook.  Buried crusts are thinner and softer above older facets on due north.
