Quick report
18F, overcast to bkn sky, light north wind at our high point. Toured up toward Hippy Ridge to about 4300’. Thin coverage due to only the last two storms sitting on bare ground (blown clean from the Dec. dry spell.) 60cm HS. Above 4000’ there is a 5cm thick 1F windslab over 35cm settling storm snow. Where not wind affected, the storm snow skis well. It appeared to be bonding to the crust, even though surface hoar was present, but laid down and decomposing quickly.
