Observation: Steam Mill Peak

1-2" of new snow over the firmed up wet snow from two days ago made for fantastic skiing on all aspects in the morning. The sun heated and later crusted the south aspects. North and east facing slopes remained soft.

Some wind effects were observed on the ridge lines but the cornices proved to not be at all touchy. We did stomp a medium sized cornice onto the steeper terrain near the top of Steam Mill Peak with no sign of any instabilities below (see photo).
