We found supportable riding conditions and pretty nice shallow powder up high in north facing terrain. About 4 inches of powder from Monday night caps last week's thin and breakable rime-crust. We felt comfortable venturing into steeper terrain due to the stable snow conditions, but we put plenty of distance between us when crossing through avalanche terrain.
