Today wasn't as good as Yesterday 5 star etch a sketch blue bird surprise.

Tour nw-e above 9500 9am-1230.

E facing nasty widespread heat crust below 9800

Nw good-ne good but inverted top 1-2 inch being heavy and a bit drummy.

Cloud bases bout 9500' = flat light. No sun. Small grain snow very light/little accumulated.

<p>I broke off a small 7' windslab 8" micro avalanche didn't move far(5 feet n stopped on a 35 degree slope) Cracking in skintrack mini drifts but just under skis. Wind covered most tracks n skinners. Inverted snow, heavy and drummy on surface. Active snow transport. South wind gust 20s mid slope. Skinner 1/8th refill between laps.</p> <p>Saw newer cornices.</p>
