At 2pm the HST since early 2/14 was 8". That is of course settled HST. Snowing through the day with moderate winds and strong gusts at 11,000ft.
Snowpack
The persistent slab avalanche problem remained quiet on westerly aspects. The 2/2 SH was 6 to 8mm tall below a 55cm slab at 10,000ft. The slab was F to 4F hard. Test results were very reliable with both an ECTN and a hard ECTP. PST tests both had the failure arrest. We only got onto a small crossloaded terrain feature near 11,000ft. The first person to get on the feature remotely triggered a tiny wind slab about 30cm thick. Then we continued to push very small slabs off the feature, releasing on the crust below the new snow. Here steep S-facing slopes had a suportible crust below the recent new snow.
