- Rapid Warming
Good skiing on North facing aspects and very difficult skiing on those affected by the sun and melt-freeze cycle. For the next few days it will be a good idea to get out a little earlier to avoid potential wet loose avalanches due to rapid warming. Overall a beautiful day to be out.

-
Lots of sluff, and pinballs this morning! The melt-freeze cycle will cause things to get a little dicey later in the afternoon. I observed quite a few small wet slides on west facing slopes. When I skied the Columbine Bowl there was significant sluffing on each turn I made. Snow surface was variable once I got to the flat part of White Pine Fork, going from some nice wet powder to extremely firm crust.
