Quick report
Snowpack was generally very stable and snow conditions were good - albeit still very cold. - No cracking or other sign of instability observed while traveling - Hand pits at 6000 and 6500 revealed the top 30cm+ was soft and well bonded - Some wind affected snow right on the ridge and at the summit - Snow on the North side at higher elevation was a bit slabby on top but not reactive - Dug a quick pit at 7000'. Cold, Calm on the valley floor. Light winds at upper elevations. Broken clouds becoming overcast by late afternoon.
Snowpack
Pit at 7000', S Aspect: HS 180cm, CT29 12cm down Entire snowpack seemed well consolidated and right side up. Fist hard to 40cm down, 4 finger hard below that to pit bottom. No discernable crust
