Quick report
- Cracking
- widespread
The clouds cleared around 4 pm so I went to have a look at Tuckerman Ravine and see if anything had cycled during the high winds today. In the fading light it was hard to be certain but I didn’t observe any new crown lines or debris in the bowl. There was heavy, active wind loading going on across the terrain but most intensely in the Sluice/Lip area and on the Boott Spur buttress. Test slopes on the way up were reactive and failing under my weight on a layer 15-20 cms down. I had these results as well as 5-10 ft shooting cracks on SE and NE aspects. My old phone didn’t like the cold so pics are limited. You’ll just have to take my word.
