Ran an Avalanche 1 course through area. Put in a pit in a protected E-facing slope above the lake. No failures for compression test or extended column test (CTN, ECTX). Shovel shear test failed near 100cm in depth at the level where our column isolation ended with a Q2. Snowpack showed near isothermal conditions. Of note, the melt/freeze grains in the 30-62cm layer had poor cohesion after being cut with the snow saw, but demonstrated pencil hardness when testing the wall of the snow pit. No signs of instability noted.
