Quick report
Warm temperatures and wind have created thin but dense slabs across the Frazier Basin area. We measured base depths from about 6 inches to 1.5 feet in the terrain that we traveled through. There was a notable layer of small facets widespread under about 4 inches of this windslab and it was reactive in obvious places, cracking under our feet and breaking off into the N facing Frazier Basin chutes when we skied them. South faces were corning up in the warm weather and freezing as the sun went down. Low tide!
Avalanche
We saw several dry loose size 1 avalanches on east-facing, steep walls in the Frazier Basin in the North Bridgers. Likely caused by cornice collapse / wind loading after Tuesday's wind event. We also observed a size 1 wet loose on south facing terrain likely from heating rock bands.
