Quick report
We toured from Beehive into Bear Basin for some meadow skipping on the backside of Tyler's. Little instability was observed. This morning, HN ranged from 2-6" with winds ripping from the SW, moving westerly by 1pm. Ridgetop scouring/loading was heavy all day while Beehive Basin recieved consistent swirling winds. Bear Basin was mostly calm except for when a midday S8 squal brought swirling winds, a drop in temps and much more snow. Snow transport loaded ridgetops but did not build noteworthly wind or storm slabs where we travelled. Ridetop at the Prayer Flags, fresh 6-18" cornices over small reactive pillows were present. One small dry loose was spotted on the west-facing side of Bear Basin. On the backside of Tyler's, snow was cold, 16" deep and fist hard above a supportable crust. On our return to the trailhead, all tracks were snowed in at Tyler's meadow and below.
