- <p>While touring we found recently formed wind slabs to be the most reactive. We saw a lot of cracking and in the new snow wind slabs. Areas where there were a lot of rocks totally collapsed on us, even with the dense new snow we sank right down to our knees or mid thigh depending on the drift. </p>
