Went up to pink pine and Scotty's Bowl. The new storm snow quickly settled and stabilized. There was evidence of some point releasing from the day before. There were some areas on the ridgelines that were hammered by the wind and started to form a hard wind slab. The skiing was fast, dense and forgiving.
Some of the higher elevation areas looked completely stripped of snow. Everything above the Tri-chutes looked very rocky. With the additional weight it's no surprise that the old faceted layers from the fall are coming back to life.
