Old MT Baldy

We went with low expectations but were pleasantly surprised at the quality of the snow. HS 75-125 cm between 1900m and 2300 m. One whomp in a shallow rocky area otherwise no signs of instability. Probably some of the best early skiing in this area in some time. Still lots of hazards to watch out for so be careful out there. We followed some fresh bear tracks on our way in. Time to go to sleep Mr bear!
