Midday Mountain/Bonningtons

Spent 2 nights at the Huckleberry hut on Monday and Tuesday. Skinned to Midday Peak on Tuesday morning, then traversed back down to the ridge north of the summit. Dropped in on a mellow, treed slope around 11am. Snow was heavy powder with a crust in some spots, but made for a fun decent back to the cabin! Better than expected. We made sure to be back before noon as the temps were about 17 degrees by then. Observed wet sluffing off of the south facing slopes on Cabin Peak as well as some sluffing from hot rocks off the north facing slopes of Midday later that afternoon. Didn’t observe any slab evidence in the area
