Near Castle

Extremely hard snow from the valley to as high as we dared climb. I got to a point where my skins on my split board​ weren't gripping anymore and if you fell you would slide till you would hit or grab a tree. It's going to be interesting how the new snow bonds to this layer.

Some natural avalanches observed on adjacent steep slopes that we skied.
