Super sketchy conditions as expected and we stayed in Simple terrain.
Snowing 1100m and up but super wet until 1350m. We dug a pit at 1350m E aspect low 30 degrees. 1st CT failed sudden planar 45cm down on isolation on the interface between the 2 recent storms. With a few from elbow it failed sudden planar 10cm below that again, and then with 3 from shoulder it failed 130cm down.
We did an ECT as well and it also failed sudden planar 45cm down after 3 from elbow, full 90cm slid.
Tons of whumpfing around 1400m.
Lots of pinwheeling up till 1350m.
No natural avalanches observed, although visibility was not far.
Probed 300cm snowpack at 1350m
