Quick Observation

Skied Hero's Knob along with 20 other people today. It started out windless and sunny and -29 in the parking lot at 9am. Things heating up quickly and we were in long sleeve t-shirts at treeline. On the West aspect around 2700m 2 size 1.5 avalanches were observed from the last couple days probably triggered from the wind. On the same aspect today we observed a 1.5 loose avalanche from solar heating around 11:30am. South aspects had some minor sloughing from cliffy areas. The SE aspect of the outlier(Cegnfs) of Mt Murray had 2 size 2.5 avalanches from the cycle last weekend. Both the south bowl and the sweet 16 skied very well.
