Started at -10 C.
Hoar frost noted at base of climb through trees. Some pin wheels noted on climb - Sun was strong with pockets of sun crust noted on climb of the south face. Skin track was well established and slick in places. No wind - sunny skies and -2 C at summit.
Once summited. The top of pulpit and both face / bowl was clear wind affected. The east part of the steeper bowl we avoided as it was certainly hard wind slab and crummy. Attempted to cut into it in the traverse down to lower part of bowel.
Entered lowest part of bowl. 5 good turns and then into wind crust. Navigated down to gully cautiously and skied the gully which was great with no wind / sun impact and boot top fresh.
Navigated across lake and back to truck with -3 C at 2 PM.
No instability noted all day in our area or around us. We did avoid the sun drenched south aspect. Might have skied well but heavy with some patches of sun crust.
