May conditions in February

Beautiful day up on Glacier. Easy travel and decent skiing on 2-5cm of soft sun warmed crust with some areas having a few cm of preserved surface hoar to make it feel like powder! Numerous size 2-3 wet loose avalanches observed that likely occured in the last 24-48 hrs. Most start zones were near areas of exposed bedrock.
