Blue Skies on Pearly Rock

Beautiful clear day up to Pearly Rock! Snow was mostly soft facets the whole way with the exception of a little bit of crusty snow on top of the ridge. We did not observe any signs of instability where we were traveling on the west facing approach to Pearly Rock. We saw evidence of numerous small dry loose avalanches on steeper south facing terrain, and witnessed two natural small dry loose occur in very steep south facing terrain around 12pm when the sun was blasting the slope. The inversion was noticeable! Car temperature read -16 at the parking lot but by the time we got to the top we were skinning in shirts.
