5 Mile - The Burn

Inconsistent skiing, wind slab to shear crust. Very wind affected in alpine and upper treeline NW aspects. Surface hoar 3-6mm in treed and wind-sheltered areas observed. Skied a NE aspect steep, treed line with 5-15cm on top of crust - significant sluffing End of day observed another group trigger a size 1 slab traversing a steep, open, NW slope
