Test result from a few days ago shows the Dec 13th facet/surface hoar layer, down 70 cm, was found to be reactive on a protected NE aspect. Meanwhile, at a similar elevation on a nearby SW aspect and in the sunshine snow study plot it was not reactive. The current weak layers are spotty in distribution and it's worthwhile to dig down to test the layers before committing to the slope. Choose test sites that are similar in aspect, elevation, and character. PST video on the Dec 13th layer. https://www.facebook.com/145133538869977/videos/1831573593659283
