Toured up the Chair apron to the Cache Couloir. Exited up through the Snow Lake Divide and back down the Chair apron.

Quick report

Not surprisingly for this time of year, nearly everything below rock bands and not directly north facing, had significant old rollerball activity or small, loose wet slides. We didn’t see any new slides today— most were likely 1-2 days old. There were enough high, thin clouds and wind to keep any warming at bay. Wind transport was minimal. We did several ski test slopes up higher with no result. We saw several very large, old slides - I suspect they occurred sometime in the last week (? warm up on the 15th), possibly triggered by large cornice collapses. The old slide in bottom of the Cache was massive, maybe a D3. The debris pile at the base of the couloir, resting at the edge of Snow Lake is over 10ft high in some places. Be careful when you exit the couloir to the lake as there are multiple large holes created by the debris.
