Perley rocks!

Fine skiing conditions up high. We saw a few solar triggered sz 1 dry loose out of steep SW terrain near 2450m in the afternoon. 15-20 cm soft snow with little if any wind effect sitting on a crust (esp west and south aspects) up to about 2100m. Hand shear gave a moderate resistant planar result down 20cm on the crust. Polar aspects had no crust and were skiing very well. Skied some steeper short pitches to 45 deg with only minor sluffing. Calm winds, warm temps in the sun and preserved powder... the best of both worlds!
