Quick report
We went out today to monitor the storm and see how much new snow has fallen. We found a light dusting of new snow at the Tamarack trailhead with a firm previous melt freeze surface crust. The old snow surface crust was edgeable, but the previous snow surface is highly uneven with refrozen previous tracks, runnels, and sun cups. Snow coverage remains good from this trailhead to the peak and back. In wind exposed locations, strong SW winds were blowing the limited snow available onto leeward slopes and accumulating up to a couple inches deep. This made for some small sections of wind blown snow mixed in with all the other firm and unsmooth snow surfaces present. Visibility was very limited in open areas off of the peak which made for more challenging travel conditions.

Temperature was 29 degrees at 9am on the Slide Mountain sensor (9650'). Light snow on and off throughout the morning hours with 1-2cms of accumulation. SW winds were strong with light blowing snow in exposed areas up to 2-5cms.
