Quick report
Location: Floor of Tux. Time: 1600. Weather: Overcast, Strong W wind, 26F, some blowing snow. Snow surfaces in Tux, including the floor and the gullies, consist of icy refrozen snowpack with small, isolated pockets of new snow filling in irregularities in the snow surface. These pockets were a few inches deep, not cohesive or slabby, and topped with a layer of graupel on the floor of the ravine. Crevasses and holes under the headwall rocks/ice and in the lower lip slope appeared to have opened more during Monday's rain.
