Collapsing
isolated

Snow depth is highly variable and strongly influenced by altitude, measuring 10 cm at 7,000', 40 cm at 7,500', 60 cm at 8,000', and 110 cm at 8,300'. Some isolated collapses above 8000’. At 8,300' on a North-facing aspect, an ECT and CT failed during isolation at the interface between new and old snow, 30 cm below the surface.
