Wapiti Meadows Trailhead

Took a look at the snowpack after the 12/15-12/17 storm. There are approximately 14 cm of new snow on this east south east facing slope. The snow came in right side up and is more dense at the base and more fluffy at the top. The new now buried a visable layer of surface hoar from the recent high pressure event of early December. I observed a 3-4 cm crust under the buried surface hoar and facets to the ground below the crust. CT 3 @ 20 cm at the interface of the new snow with the surface hoar and crust below.
