Quick report
Toured up Mt Fuji from the west ridge. Snow was heavy and wet, our car said it was 36 degrees in the parking lot. We dug our pit on a NW aspect at 5500ft. Snow depth was 50cm and we found a slightly facety layer at the ground but snowpack above that layer was right side up and looking nice. The pit passed both the CT and ECT tests. We got a little bit of rain/sleet on us as we neared the top of the peak, and then the skies cleared and we had sunshine all the way back to the car.
