Quick report

We dug a pit on a N/NW slope at 8900 feet, did an extended column test which failed on the 1/6 layer after 28 taps. Results were ECTP. Also noted that the slab above the 1/6 layer never got harder than 1 finger, whereas previous pits had had pencil hardness. Conditons were as expected, a bit of a sun crust on southern slopes but it doesn’t seem like the snowpack suffered too much from yesterday’s warm temps.

Avalanche

Saw 4+ avalanches on the NE slopes above Headwaters creek, looks like they may have been at the PSlab level. Pics attached.
