Wood River valley, on Heidelberg hill west face

Snowpack was knee deep on NW aspect with no observable weak layer. Snow went to the ground. Snow was sheltered and unaffected by recent warm temps and sun. On steep slopes, still under 30 degrees, there was collapsing (whoomps) and cracking that appeared to be collapsing to the ground and were not widespread.
