Quick report
Toured low angle on Galena Pass above Twin Bowls. Dug a pit on 20 degree, SE slope at 8600'. Did not observe collapses, cracking or other signs of instability. HS = 75 cm 25 cm new unconsolidated snow 40 cm 4F, somewhat consolidated with the 11/13 (?) layer visible 40 cm from top of snowpack 10 cm of facets at ground ECTN30 at the 11/13 layer 40 cm down (30 cm from ground)
