We did not observe any natural avalanches from the small storm over the weekend (12/8-12/9). Snow near the ground on shaded slopes remains weak, but the overlying slab has also weakened, decreasing its ability to propagate a fracture. 

No obvious signs of instability. We did not directly observe obviously wind-loaded terrain.

We observed middle elevation snow depths of 55 to 85 cm. Of note, because this area had a deeper, early-season snowpack before mid-November storms, the rain layer from those ARs is 50 cm off the ground, providing a well-connected, stout sliding surface at middle elevations. The 35 cm of snow above the crust is heavily faceted and weak.
