Quick report
Around 2 feet total at the trailhead with 8-12inches of really light powder. As we ascended the coverage in the trees decreased and as the sun warmed, it started to consolidate a bit. As high clouds rolled in and we gained elevation snow dried out again and up above 6200ft we had about 3-4ft for our base and 2ish feet of light powder that skied really nicely. We dug some hand pits and didn’t see much consolidation or propagation of concern even on wind affected slopes. We tried skiing out through the trees but scraped too much on rocks and decided to boot pack it all the way down to the valley…OH and there were larches with needles still!!
