Quick report
- Cracking
- isolated
Wind slabs in classic locations - lee slopes & cross-loaded gulleys. These were mainly small. Isolated cracking on uptrack tests - wind slabs up to 3” thick sliding on a dry intrastorm layer. Ski cuts of wind loaded features yielded no results. Below the new snow, the snowpack is saturated and remained wet and punchy throughout the day below about 6000’. Above that, a crust was present or forming. Areas with crust were typically completely wind-scoured.
