Quick report
Lapped the SE facing slopes above source lake. Visibility was poor limiting our observations. No signs of instability or recent avalanches were observed. Difficult to find the crust with hand pits due to the depth once above the elevation of source lake Dug to the talus at ~4300 SE aspect. 90 cm of fist hardness snow over the crust. 30 cm of snow/bush matrix below the crust. Lots of open creeks and small trees to deal with on the way in. Source lake is definitely still a lake.
