Quick report

No obvious signs of instability, aside from the avalanche. 1/2 inch crust in top of 18 inches of new snow. Travel today was cautious.

Avalanche debris and crown observed near the summit on the NNE face. I think the slide occurred between our first (10:00) and second (12:00) lap. We followed the set skin track to the top of Jake’s up the NE trees, and the slide was to the north of the skin track. The slide appeared to be skier triggered, with tracks leading into the over the top of the convexity.
