Quick report
Our observations during our travels revealed good snowpack structure and a great start to building a strong snowpack. With consistent snowfall during November (few spells without snow), and temperatures staying relatively cold our snowpack hasn't had the opportunity to form any weak snow layers. Hopefully, this trend will continue as we enter a period of high pressure and cold temperatures.

It was a beautiful day to be out in the mountains, with nearly a foot of fresh snow above 7,000'. Winds were light from the SW.
Snowpack
We dug a snowpit on a West aspect at 7,200' and found over 4.5' of snow (140cm). The snowpack structure in this location was good, with a right-side-up snowpack. There weren't any immediate layers of concern. Our test results showed pretty good bonding amongst the new snow layers. Warm temperatures during last week's Bomb Cyclone (with high-elevation rain) was pronounced with rain runnels and significantly less snow below 7,000'.
Overnight as the storm cleared on 11/23 a layer of surface hoar grew and was observed between 7,000-7,400' on Southwest-West facing slopes.
