Over the course of the weekend, I triggered a few 6-10" storm slabs skiing inbounds at Anthony, all on isolated terrain features that face S-SE, and talked to others who had experienced the same. Nothing big at all, but the snow readily failed as a slab sitting on top of a hard and smooth crust layer that I imagine is present on similar solar aspects in the backcountry.
