Mt. Judah

Localized Cracking on windloaded slopes. Rapid windloading. I passed the same slope that was triggered about an hour before it slid and nothing was reactive. I came back an hour later and sensitivity to triggers increased. We got the slide to propigate on the windloaded slope rather easily with just few stomps on the upper slope. Trace amounts of new snow but the wind at ridgetops was being transported rapidly into a cohesive slab on top of a hard/slick bed surface. 50-100ft of visibility above treeline and wind were gusting in the 25-35mph zone. Was very unaggressive tour, just warming the legs up. Did not intend to see avalanches but the opprtunity was there. Overall impression: The snow is still very thin but where there was old surface snow from previous storm a week and a half ago, that snow has become a good bed surface for new snow to slide on. The snow snow has not yet bonded to the old snow. Caution when traveling on windloaded slope today&tommorow.
