Quick report
New snow above 7000' ranged from 4-12" depending on the zone and wind transport. The deeper snowpack was pretty cohesive and right side up. The new snow fell upon an old ice crust from the warm weather the past week. There was a bit more of a storm slab inside the couloir from wind transport and settling. Wx: Overcast skies, constant light snow, wind speeds 10-12 mph gusting 15-20 at times. Overall impression of stability outside of niche zones was stable, however I tried as hard as possible to stay out of avalanche terrain whenever possible during the traverse. 6-8" crown 20' wide Storm Slab on Ice crust. Broke 20' above me in the couloir. Was able to anchor in next to rocky outcropping on left side as the avalanche went by.
