Sparwood Search and Rescue responded to a solo snowmobiler who was caught in an avalanche between Mt Domke and Mt Secord in the Alexander Creek drainage. The individual was partially buried and the snowmobile was fully buried. The individual was able to dig themselves out and leave the area on foot. The avalanche likely occurred on a north aspect around treeline (~2000 m). It had a 70 cm thick fracture line, which was all the way to ground on that slope. It was approximately 30 m wide, 50 m long, and the debris was 1.5 m deep.
