Other than lingering cornice fall, glide, and shedding snow, it seems like future avalanche activity will occur at or above the soft crust buried today. In general, the new snow was not well bonded to the old snow surface, and it moved like wet loose instead of a slab when provoked on steeper slopes. No wind transport was observed - snow was generally falling straight down, even in typically wind-exposed locations. Riding conditions were wet and gloppy below 4500' but surprisingly OK at mid and upper elevations.

Looked like another chunk of the Blueberry cornice failed in the last day or 2 - the debris was very fresh looking. Also observed a handful of small wet loose that were likely triggered by snow shedding from cliffs. It was easy to get the new snow moving as wet loose over the slightly frozen crust below. But the soft, moist melt forms below the new snow stayed glued to the slope.

Rain turned to wet snow just below Heather Meadows, but snow not accumulating until above 4500'. Mostly calm, with only one gust of wind strong enough to move a bit of snow around.

Snowpack

Up to 10cm of moist 4F- new snow by late morning above 4500'. Not bonded well the slightly frozen old snow surface below. At lower elevations and on all heavily sun-exposed aspects, the upper snowpack is moist melt forms and rounded grains, generally becoming firmer and more supportable with elevation gain. The upper snowpack in a pit on NNW aspect at 5400' was surprisingly not melt affected with only a 10cm MF layer below the new snow. The rest of the pit was small rounded grains, P to K+ hard, with no significant layering. The thin crust found just above the surface hoar buried on 3/9 was difficult to pick out in this location - possibly down around 130cm. CTN, DTH-B at base of column.
