Quick report

11 am in lower portion of chute. Sunny, little wind and ~45f. Observed lots of roller balls from tree and rock shedding. Did two hand test pits at 4,600 on opposite flanks of the chute. Found 6-8 inches of finger snow (fresh fluff) on the rain crust. TA assuming wet loose slide danger would increase as the day went on and I didn't want to be down climbing in the chute later in the day. Another hiker reported a D1 wet loose slide that was 10 ft and 20 ft long about 100 ft higher.

Avalanche

Told of a D1 wet loose 10 feet wide and 20 ft long running from flank of chute into chute
