Quick report

Very warm day - minimal overnight freeze, so the snow surface was very soft. We saw limited wet loose activity, though this was most likely due to the lower angle terrain and the very well tracked snow. We tested a few short, steeper slopes on the way down and found them to slide easily, exhibiting slab-like characteristics. We also observed a few skier- triggered wet loose slides from the day before.

Avalanche

We saw a few wet loose avalanches on a sunny, convex slope that had been triggered by skiers the previous days. This was lower on the route, I’m guessing between 3500 and 4000ft.
